Teacups of Amber and Gold

Seeds flanked in strands
giving flight
Leaves gather
the crunch and crackle of laughter
Violet rose, her petals ready
today she’ll let another go
Trees nearly naked
Warm and cold, meet in the middle

Fall

Tiny teacups filled with amber and gold
balance on the whims
Her native languages
Crackling leaves
Pedals turning, unabashed
Children play, dawn til dusk
Cooling air calls to heavier coats and
the whiz and clip of zips and snaps

Fall

Her treasures prepared
unbound by nature
Campfire incense
the brush of her kiss
Heat zings, mingled with love
awakening the deep

Joy
