Stripped

I am stripped
forced vulnerability
every scar exposed
crouched and cowering
“Help me please help!”

Stripped of nothing but hands
which hide my face
collecting tears carried
in the notes of a song
of sadness.

At the feet of love
left
her swells of tenderness returned
a robe of velvet fashioned
to protect and to cover.

The stripped only knowing
that they do not fit
their tears,
the blood of sorrow and
loneliness.

even so…

Misfits
live
and die
in the eyes
of our minds.
