Let’s go for a drive, he smiled.
She was lost, he knew, her blue eyes were empty.
Wind and Sun and Life stood by as they drove away.
She closed her eyes to the countryside; wind in her hair.
The smell of cornfields and peace in the air.
Her wrecked and ravaged soul won over.
Life breathed back in by Mother Nature.
His smile now found in the Sun a’ setting.
And he took her hand
and they drove on together.
Where one can touch the Sun at dusk
and sadness always succumbs to love.
